Camille Nicodemus, Executive Director
Camille is a graduate of New York University (NYU) School of Law, holding a J.D. and a license to practice law in both Indiana, and the State of New York. She earned her B.A. summa cum laude at Hunter College in NYC, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
As a practicing attorney, Camille has worked as a litigator specializing in business and employment law for large firms in NYC, including Holland & Knight, and Kasowitz Benson. She has appeared in state and federal courts throughout the country on behalf of clients, in a variety of business and employment matters. She has also provided a variety of legal services to the NYC Ballet Company and other non-profit organizations. In Indianapolis, Camille spent time at both Barnes & Thornburg and Schuckit & Associates, before turning to start-ups and small business law, working on issues ranging from marketing and finances, to employment matters.
Camille studied ballet throughout her youth with the Cincinnati Ballet Company, under teachers David Blackburn, Oleg Sabline, James Truitte, and legendary choreographer Frederic Franklin. Camille performed regularly during Cincinnati Ballet’s season, including in the Nutcracker each year, and in Coppelia. Camille continued to study ballet in NYC, and was regularly in dance class at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre. Most recently, Camille studied with Ballet Internationale in Indianapolis, and appeared in their 2004 Nutcracker as a maid.
Camille maintains an avid interest in community service, and has worked with elementary school and high school students in a variety of outreach programs, both in NYC and here in Indiana.
Camille brings to the role of Executive Director a strong business and legal background, as well as a great appreciation for and knowledge of the ballet. Her goal is to further a tradition of the highest excellence in dance education and performance, as well as community outreach and involvement, and to provide the kind of management that will enable these to flourish with longevity.
Hailey Agran, Academy Director
Ms. Agran began her ballet training with Aimee Langlas and Dawn George in Waterloo, Iowa, where she was a member of the student performing company, Andante. She moved to Indianapolis in the summer of 2005 to train at the Academy of Ballet Internationale, and upon its closing, the Russian Ballet Academy of Indiana. She has trained under the instruction and guidance of Alyona Yakovleva, Tatiana Pali, Vladilen Semenov, Irina Kolpakova, Vera Solovyeva, Nikolai Levitskiy, and Maria Gribanova, among others, and has attended summer programs with the Classical Dance Alliance (on scholarship), Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, D.C., Ballet Chicago, Cincinnati Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Internationale, and Russian Ballet Academy of Indiana.
Ms. Agran competed in the 2006 Russian Pointe USA National Youth Ballet Competition where she was offered scholarships to two universities. She became an apprentice with the Indiana Ballet Company in the fall of 2006, and joined the Company in 2009 upon graduation from the Russian Ballet Academy of Indiana. Ms. Agran has performed in IBC's productions of The Nutcracker, Paquita, Love and Gravity, Chopiniana, On Earth We Stand, From Shakespeare with Love, and Phantom of the Opera. In addition to instructing the young children's classes at the Russian Ballet Academy of Indiana, Ms. Agran also served as the Assistant to the Artistic Director from 2006-2009, and as the Academy Director for the 2009-2010 academic year. She is also currently working towards a degree in English from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Ms. Agran's individual and caring approach to teaching young children, as well as her strong administrative and communication skills as Academy Director, make her a valuable asset to the Indiana Ballet Conservatory.
Missy Rust, Admissions Director
Missy Rust is a native of Indiana. After graduating from Ball State University with a BS in marketing, she garnered over 15 years experience in sales, marketing, regional management, and corporate sales training. She lives in Noblesville and is married with two young daughters. Being a native Hoosier, she grew up loving basketball and local sports. Her daughters' love of ballet has opened her eyes to this wonderful art form. It is this desire to embrace her daughters' passion that has energized her to help sustain and grow this fantastic conservatory and retain these world-renown teachers. She looks forward to welcoming new students into the Indiana Ballet Conservatory's "family".
